C alifornia-born, but multi-culturally raised, I’ve spent a lot of time as an aspiring insider, quietly observing the social cues and norms that would grant me the access I crave. But this desire to be deemed “in” has always had an equally strong rival: the quirky uniqueness of my family identity and how much I love being distinct. Ultimately, I usually land somewhere between trendy & weirdo, and that’s my sweet spot.
I am constantly learning new ways to be self-sufficient (but not isolatingly independent) and I created this site to share that. Ultimately, I am just a person trying to increase the honesty and truth in our connections to others, and to improve quality of life for all through the sharing of information.
Here’s the official bio though, if you want it: Based in Plantation, FL, Linda Ward is a writer and ideator with a fire for brainstorming and creative collaboration. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida International University in 2012. Prior to her undergraduate studies, Linda completed a two-year course in Journalism at McFatter Technical Center. While she enjoys every opportunity to create, her true delight comes from solving complex problems through research and thoughtful creative processes. Growing up in a multi-cultural and adventurous family instilled a love of travel and new experiences in Linda. True to creative form, an unending number of interests have led her into a variety of industries, including real estate as a licensed real estate agent, and technology, as part owner of an app builder. She has worked in the creative industry since 2009 and enjoys every opportunity to tackle a new challenge.
